Oxford United’s Under 19s continued their tour of Italy with another excellent win at the weekend, beating SPAL 3-0
Having won the first game of their tour 5-1 the young U’s played well to make it two wins from two games thanks to goals from Harrison Bradney, Enrique Tiamuna and captain Josh Johnson - Tiamuna and Bradney have now scored in both games.
Coach Pablo Haysham told us
“The games have been excellent so far and winning twice is good for morale but the trip over here is not all focussed on the games. We are here to get ready for the season, to work hard every day in training and to learn from the whole experience, which we are doing.”
Captain Josh Johnson told us
“We stuck together really well. One or two decisions went against us early on but we didn’t let that affect us and eventually the goals came our way. Now we have one last game, against Parma, which we know will be tough but if we can perform well in that game then we will come home at the weekend looking back on a really positive two weeks.”
