Oxford United Women face a big game this Sunday when they welcome Keynsham in the National League South.
The U’s are in a three way chase for the title alongside Ipswich and Southampton but if they are to win that race then it will be done the hard way with five of their last six games away from home.
Sunday’s game at Court Place Farm, which kicks off at 2pm, is United’s last home game of the season and Manager Liam Gilbert told us
“It’s strange how the fixtures have fallen but each team will have its own challenges: Ipswich have been top most of the season but now have us and Southampton chasing hard. Southampton have games in hand but that is going to be a busy schedule, and we have this last home match and then a run of away matches to finish, including games at Southampton and Ipswich.
“We can’t wait. We have faced plenty of challenges over the last two or three seasons but we are not just united in name, we are so together as a group.
“The first test is on Sunday. We had a record crowd the last time we played at Court Place Farm so people are getting behind us and supporting us in numbers. Hopefully that happens again on Sunday and we can get another three points as a thank you for that support all season.”
It costs just £5 to watch the game, £3 for concessions. If you have been meaning to watch the team all season then this is your chance. See you on Sunday.
