Last night saw another meeting of the new Oxford United Supporters Panel, the new group being set up to further connect the fans with the club.
A working group of six people have been working hard to establish a structure and voting process for the new panel and as promised, below are the minutes and the relevant documents from the meeting.
OUSP Feedback Meeting 06/09/2021

Meeting was attended by all six members of working party plus Oxvox representatives. Also present were Supporters who had expressed an interest in the OUSP.
Meeting Commences at 1800hrs via Microsoft Teams
Introduction
Andy Taylor commenced the meeting by thanking everyone for their attendance and for the hard work put in by the members of the Working Party. It was stressed that without their help then we wouldn’t be in such a great position to push ahead with elections.
Greg David then presented slides documenting the background of OUSP and the formation of the working group. (The slides will be available alongside these minutes). Greg elaborated on the background of fan engagement and how it relates to our club.
Key topics in this presentation were:-
- Background of OUSP.
- Working Group references i.e other groups that have assisted in formation such as West Ham, Cambridge and the FSA.
- Key outcomes. Terms of reference and MOU, expectations of supporters, wide range of representation.
Greg then handed the floor over to Michelle Young to present slides documenting the election process. (The slides for which will be available alongside these minutes here: OUSP WG Feedback.pdf
Key topics in this presentation were:-
- Formation of election committee. (Not allowed to stand)
- Ashley Browne from FSA to chair EMG.
- Fan numbers to be used for people wishing to stand.
- OxVox to co-opted on to panel.

Greg David then talked about contact details and social media. Andy Taylor and Chris Williams to collate documentation and publish on club official website.
Questions and Comments.
Graham Knight-Widdett spoke about the difference between OUSP and Oxvox. Graham thanked Ali Wolfe from OxVox for the help in setting up documentation. Ali spoke about Oxvox role and how that relates to governance and football administration. Ali commented on the cross-over that is likely to occur and spoke about the role of the OxVox member on the panel.
