Oxford United Chairman Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth has been helping to spread the word in his native Thailand as Oxford United grab the headlines around the World.
Tiger has enjoyed every moment of United’s nine game winning streak and has been featuring on national TV in Thailand this week where he has been working with the government to provide face masks and PPE to help contain the pandemic.
He told us
“I am so proud of my country but also Oxford United. I was asked to feature on a TV programme about my company’s involvement with masks and and the way we have tried to help. We also sent 200,000 masks to the club and gave them to season ticket holders and the programme makers were so interested in the way that Oxford United are doing and the way we are starting to get real exposure not just in Thailand but all across Asia.
“We always said that the city of Oxford is world famous. Oxford United, with our links to Amazing Thailand and Chaokoh are also growing in reputation here and there is so much interest in the way the football club is growing and growing.”
