We’re pleased to announce that RJS Waste Management is sponsoring Oxford United on social media for the rest of the season.
Run by Oxford’s own Russell Shrives, the successful waste management company has more to offer than safely removing asbestos from your building and disposing of hazardous waste from your company…
What’s RJS Waste Management’s story?
Specialists in hazardous waste disposal and asbestos surveys and removals, RJS Waste Management UK has offices in London and Chichester as well as Oxford. Managing Director Russell Shrives and his fully insured and licenced team work with a multitude of businesses from builders, manufacturers, architects and building surveyors to letting agents, facilities management professionals and insurance companies.
Waste management is by no means a glamourous industry but every day and every job presents something different, whether it’s carrying out an asbestos survey at a stunning Cotswold estate or removing fly-tip waste from a farmer’s field near Didcot.
In fact, Russell and his team have relationships with a wide range of businesses, including H Tuckwell & Sons Ltd, and continue to build and grow relationships in the Oxford area. They work with several local construction contractors, including HNB Construction Services Ltd, on projects that require asbestos surveys, asbestos removal, strip out works and demolition, to prepare sites for the builders to complete reinstatement works and all the finishing touches.
RJS Waste enjoys working with local businesses and building relationships within the community. Working in a safe and professional manner gives their clients confidence that the work will be carried out to the highest standards.
Why sponsor Oxford United?
With his roots in Oxford, Russell is a life-long U's fan and comments:
“I’ve always supported Oxford as my hometown club. I remember, at the age of seven, going to 1986 Milk Cup Final between Oxford United and Queens Park Rangers at Wembley and it was incredible. The atmosphere really ignited my passion for football and seeing the community get behind the team created some fond memories.
“I’m really passionate about ice hockey too – another game I love to watch – and was a director of the Oxford City Stars 2016-2018. The team progressed well in my time at the club, winning the NIHL2 League Title and the NIHL2 National Championship. These achievements were down to the fantastic volunteers, sponsors, players and fellow directors that worked together so well. I miss that level of involvement and would love to be involved again one day.
“We’d started to link in well with Oxford United and seeing how well the club is run I felt it was time to get the ball rolling again, as it were!”
The sponsorship will include sponsorship of all of the club’s social media assets and imagery across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Russell adds: “I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season and seeing what the Oxford United boys bring home. It’s been a hard year for everyone and it’s great to have something positive and exciting to focus on while supporting the local community”.
