Covid Masks - A Thank You

Oxford United would like to thank everyone for their help in distributing 10,000 face masks to help fans and key workers during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Masks were sent to the NHS, local charities, the city and county councils and a number of Oxford United in the Community’s partners across Oxfordshire and 2,000 masks sent by post to season ticket holders aged over 55 and some higher risk supporters who were in touch with the club over the last few days.

Karl Robinson personally delivered masks to the Oxford Vaccine Centre and Sobell House among others while other staff delivered masks to a huge number of organisations and individuals who had asked for help.

We would like to thank all staff for their help in making this happen and we hope that the masks help those who need them most.

We are still receiving a lot of requests for masks but there are simply none left - we hope that fans agree with how they were prioritised and although we would love to help others the very last mask was sent out over the weekend.

We would also like to remind those who have receieved the masks that although they will help they are not  the best way to stop the spread of the virus. That remains, as always, to stay home, stay safe, and protect others.
