Oxford United fans are being asked to nominate the club’s charity for a slice of a £1M awards scheme for good causes.
Ecclesiastical are giving away the money as part of its Movement for Good awards, which will see 500 charities receive £1,000 during the first phase of the campaign.
Oxford United in the Community are encouraging U’s fans to vote for the charity and help us be in with a chance to secure the support.
Chris Lowes, Head of Oxford United in the Community, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our supporters and community partners to back us by nominating the charity for a financial award. COVID-19 has placed the charity sector under significant financial pressure and this level of support by Ecclesiastical is welcomed more than ever by the third sector.
“We are no different to other charities and the pandemic has created real challenges for us, so the opportunity to secure this additional financial support is important to us. We encourage supporters to please nominate Oxford United in the Community, it only takes a couple of minutes and it could help us continue to make a difference.”
The nomination process is open until 24 May. Winners will be drawn at random and the more times a charity is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.
