Rob Hall Signs New Deal

Oxford United forward Rob Hall has signed a new deal with the club and then signed on loan at Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of this season.

Rob, now 26, has scored six times this season for the U’s having returned from injury in the summer but has found regular starts hard to come by and as Karl Robinson told us, first team football is what the former West Ham and Bolton man needs right now.

“The last couple of months we have seen the old Rob Hall much more in training and in matches and he is such a good pro; we all enjoy working with him a lot. But he will only get fitter and stronger with games and this move allows him to do that and get really sharp again. He still has a future here, that’s why we are happy to see him sign a new deal until the end of next season, so this loan works for all parties and we’ll keep a close eye on how he does.

“ Hopefully he scores plenty of goals and helps Forest Green win promotion.”

“I’m fit again and loving my football, but it’s difficult when you are only getting chances here and there. It’s great to get my future sorted for next year and I’m looking forward to joining up with Forest Green. They are a really positive club and in a very strong position so I can’t wait to get started.”
