With the return of supporters to the Kassam Stadium just one day away we cannot wait to welcome a crowd of 1,000 fans when the U’s host Hull City in a pilot fixture in OX4.With plenty going on behind the scenes at the club to prepare for the return of spectators, we wanted to provide an update as the club works towards increasing the number of supporters who pass through the turnstiles.
Forest Green Rovers
Tickets remain on sale to Season Ticket Holders for Tuesday night’s Papa John’s Trophy game at home to Forest Green Rovers. CLICK HERE to book your place. 1,000 seats were allocated initially with the number hopefully increased and on sale on Monday once a full review of Satuirday’s game has taken place.
Further Matches: Allocation process for Season Ticket holders
Since the government announcement that supporters can return to fixtures on Monday 23rd November, the club has been working extensively to formulate a plan of action to accommodate supporters at future home matches. The initial announcement was followed up on Thursday 26th November with confirmation that Oxfordshire is a Tier 2 area and then SAG meetings with local authorities on Friday 27th November.
The club will be announcing information on how seats will be allocated to our loyal Season Ticket holders early next week, so please keep an eye on OUFC.co.uk and the club’s official social channels for full information.
Social Bubble Survey
Earlier this season the club asked Season Ticket holders to fill out a Social Bubble Survey to provide information of how supporters wish to be grouped once we open the Kassam Stadium turnstiles once again.
The information gathered was used to determine the maximum capacity available to the club in a social distanced, health and safety compliant stadium and we would like to thank supporters who took the time to let us know their intentions.
At the point of launching the survey, the social bubble information would have also been used to allocate seats to Season Ticket holders for the remainder of the campaign, however changes to the maximum capacity whilst Oxfordshire remains in Tier 2 means the club needs to change this process.
If you are planning to apply for tickets to future home league matches with other supporters within your social bubble, you will need to add every individual to your ‘Network’ at OUFCTickets.co.uk.
The onus is on Season Ticket holders to ensure they comply with the guidelines of a maximum of six people in your household or support bubble. Checks will be made on all applications to ensure rules are abided by.
Information on how to add supporters to your network on OUFC Tickets can be found below.
We ask all fans to help the club: the more we demonstrate that the club can stage games safely and in line with all protocols the more chance we have of increasing the capacity at future matches
Adding supporters to your network
