It's Bus-Tival Time

Earlier in the week we asked if any great community projects were happening this weekend which we could tell fans about.

There has always been a strong connection between the club and the local music scene and we are pleased to point you in the direction of Bus-Tival which takes place online on Saturday to raise money for the NHS.

Vans for Bands based in Begbroke are currently donating their tour buses for front line doctors and nurses to use as rest facilities during the COVID--19 crisis.

They currently have tour buses parked at The Royal Berkshire NHS Trust Hospital, The Whittington Health NHS Trust Hospital, The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust, The North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation and Trust Hospital, and The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

At many UK hospitals there is desperate need for on-site sleeping and rest facilities for NHS staff who are working long or extended shifts or who need to get some well needed rest during or between gruelling 12+ hour shifts when going home is not an option.

Many more hospitals are asking them to provide tour buses as rest facilities for their staff but they  need your help to be able to send tour buses to more hospitals and to help cover the running costs of the tour buses already on site.

Any unused funds will be donated to each of the hospital charities where the buses are being utilised.

Tomorrow, from midday to 10pm they are holding Bus-Tival with online performances all day to help raise further funds. You can watch it live on the Vans for Bands Facebook page.
