U's Support World Mental Health Day

It is World Mental Health Day and Oxford United are proud to be playing our part in helping spread the word that it is good to talk

Manager Karl Robinson told us:

“We are one of the pioneers in this at our level because we have Gary Bloom here as our psychotherapist working with the players as well as our scholars and staff. Matt Jarvis plays a big role within the Academy in making sure all our players at all ages know there is someone there they can talk to, and the LFE are a big help as well: we had Joe Thomson down to talk to our under 18s yesterday after all that he has gone through and the experiences he has had in dealing with some major setbacks.

“Everyone needs help sometimes and on World Mental Health Day we want fans to know that there is always someone out there to talk to.”
