Oxford United hosted their annual Golf Day at Studley Wood Golf Course yesterday.
A total of 15 teams enjoyed the competition at the Oxfordshire golf course with a full 18-hole competition being enjoyed by local businesses and supporters. Participants also enjoyed a Q&A with Karl Robinson, a two-course carvery, awards and entertainment from comedian Aaron James.
Karl, Derek Fazackerly, Josh Ruffels, Chris Cadden and MD Niall McWilliams all got involved, each joining a team alongside James Constable who was also in attendance on the day.
Business Development ManagerPeter Rhoades-Brown told us:
“The course at Studley Wood was amazing, particularly with the weather we have had and it was a really good day. We had local supporters playing, local businesses and even associate directors as well so we had a fantastic mix of people join us and it was really good to spend time with everyone.”
Head Coach Karl Robinson added:
“The most important thing today was getting to meet the local businesses who have put so much effort into the football club. We say week in week out how important these people of Oxfordshire are to the club and days like today are fantastic to have. We are constantly trying to make the football club better behind the scenes and hopefully today was one that everyone enjoyed.”
The next big event in United’s business calendar will be the U’s 2010 Promotion Reunion Dinner in March. Stay tuned for more information right here when we have full details.
