On Friday 7th June 2019, a team of 15 cyclists, the “Flo Rida’z”, will be representing Oxford United on a cycle ride from the Olympic Park in London to the Amsterdam Arena, a 145-mile ride over two days in aid of Prostate Cancer.
They will be joined by nearly 500 cyclists to raise money and awareness to tackle the most common cancer in men, a disease that kills one man every 45 minutes: that’s two men during a football match.
Many of the team took part in the 2018 event, including Flo, who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. His PSA level was 64.8 and after a radical prostatectomy and seven weeks of radio therapy five days a week he fortunately came through the treatment.
The Flo Rida’z want to raise money and awareness for a charity which does great work in helping those and their families who are effected by Prostate Cancer.
