Oxford United Women’s match away at Abingdon United on Sunday - the last pre-season match before the new season - is another chance for fans to raise money for Fenton’s Fight (KO 2pm).
Fenton Tutty signed a full Academy registration with the club this summer as an Under-9 after being in Oxford United’s pre-academy for 18 months but was diagnosed with Leukaemia over the summer.
Fenton’s Fight is a fantastic cause raising money for CLIC Sargent, Team Mikayla and Rosie’s Rainbow. Entry to the match is FREE but we are asking fans to dig deep to help raise money for a good cause.
There will be an inflatable slide, BBQ and a game of football as the Women continue their pre-season schedule ahead of the new season.
The Women's side have also announced a new assistant manager as Vlad Cintic steps up to a role alongside first team manager Liam Gilbert. He told us:
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to join the Ladies team staff this season. The project put together for the future is ambitious and I'm very keen for the season to get going."
The Women's side are at home on the opening day of the season at Oxford City's Court Place farm. Kick off is at 2pm Sunday August 18.
