Oxford United head for Scunthorpe United on Saturday looking to build on a five game unbeaten run; a direct contrast to their hosts who have lost their last five matches.
However Manager Karl Robinson is taking no notice of the form book as he prepares his side for another big game
“There’s no way we are going to take too much notice of their recent run” he told iFollow earlier today.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult one obviously- almost a wounded animal scenario after those recent games. But Stuart McCall is a top Manager - he was a top player too, but he has a massive injury list right now.
"How can he be blamed for that? I am sure there is still massive support for him though and he will go onto achieve success there. So we will be on our guard but focussed on our own game rather than the opposition’s recent run.
“Our own form is decent but we won;t get carried away. We have been keeping clean sheets and we know that if we keep the back door shut we have goals in our team.
“I know people talk about the strikers not scoring enough but we had three up front last week and Gavin Whyte and Marcus Brown, two of our wide attackers, both scored. It is about all three forwards, not just one. But I think we have been performing well, we have been calm, and now we move onto the next challenge.”
