Oxford United’s First Team Coach Derek Fazackerley will be facing a new challenge next weekend when he sets off on the Twin Town Challenge.
Derek will be teaming up with the team from Polythene UK, led by James Woollard, to drive from Oxfordshire to Le Touquet, France, competing in challenges along the way to raise money for technology charity SpecialEffect.
Faz, James and the Polythene team will be driving a 'Scooby Doo' style 'Polythene Machine' and as ‘Faz’ explained, it will be a team effort to drive it across to France.
“It’s a great cause” he said “and one we are proud to support as a club. I’m hoping the car makes it because I’m not going to be the best mechanic, but it’s a unique way of supporting SpecialEffect and I’m looking forward to the trip now.”
SpecialEffect is an amazing charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games. The money raised by the Twin Town Challenge helps SpecialEffect put fun, freedom and inclusivity back into people's lives.
