Last Sunday was the end of the season in the Thames Valley Walking Football League, with the Oxford United A team finishing as runners up in the top A Division. This is an amazing achievement considering it was their first season in the A Division after being promoted from the B Division last season. In their last five games they had three wins and two draws, achieving 11 points out of a possible 15.
The B team ended up in a commendable fourth place in the C Division and were also unbeaten in their last five matches, winning two and drawing three, achieving nine points out of a possible 15.
This Sunday Oxford United Walking Football teams are playing in a Walking Football Festival at Cutteslowe Park, organised by Summertown Stars. This is the first time a Walking Football tournament has been included in their festival. Walking football clubs from around Oxfordshire will be participating.
