Education opportunities
Oxford United Advance Academy is a football and education programme run by Oxford United and the Oxford Academy School.
We are hosting trial days with the first being on Wednesday 12th April 2017 between 12-2.30pm at the Oxford Academy (Sandy Lane West, Littlemore, OX4 6JZ) and we would like to invite you to attend.
The aim of the trial day is to offer the players the opportunity to be involved in a unique education course at the Oxford Academy sixth form which allows students to study a range of BTEC and A-Level courses while representing Oxford United Football Club in national football competitions.
The football aspect of the course allows players to play against the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Reading, Birmingham (to name a few) on Wednesdays, as well as training four times per week, including technical, tactical and gym-based sessions while also allowing injured players to have access to an Oxford United physio.
The education aspect of the course is our primary concern. This is the opportunity to study your preferred subject area across a range of subjects. We have an extremely strong support mechanism in place where the teachers, coaches, head of education and director of sixth form will support you in order to succeed and achieve your full potential. The timetable for the students is designed to help balance the football and education system.
If you are interested in the course but do not live close to Oxford, this is not a problem as we can source accommodation for players.
