Oxford United were put through their paces today with a first training session at their Portugal Training Camp.
United flew in to the Algarve on Sunday for a week that will see them take on Hull City and Middlesbrough in friendlies. There is plenty of hard work for the players before those games though with new Manager Pep Clotet overseeing an intense first session this morning in the fierce Portuguese sun.
The players put in a 90 minute session on the excellent training pitch with the encouraging sign of centre half Aaron Martin playing a full part in the session. Fellow centre half Mike Williamson also joined in having joined for a week of training, while Josh Ashby worked hard in his rehab alongside the group.
The players then hit the gym before a rest this afternoon and then a second session this evening.
Look out for an special behind the scenes report and an interview in iFollow later today and a tour diary right here this evening.
