Advance Sixth Form Recruiting Now

Advance Sixth form options for youngsters

The Oxford United Advance sixth form programme at The Oxford Academy has been an outstanding success this year and is now recruiting for its second intake of students.

The programme offers you the opportunity to study a range of educational courses from Level 2 BTECs through to A Levels in various subjects, whilst gaining valuable playing and work experience with Oxford United’s best coaches.

The Oxford Academy was recently ranked 14th out of 6,382 secondary schools in England based on exam results, so the programme will give you the best chance going forward with your education. You will be able to choose from the widest variety of courses, playing football whilst studying chemistry, business or creative digital media, or retaking your Maths or English.

Both boys and girls train every day of the week, and teams play both home and away against Tottenham, Reading, Birmingham, Fulham and Crystal Palace. Monday sessions focus on technical and tactical skills, Tuesdays on preparation for Wednesday’s game. Thursdays are about strength and conditioning, and on Friday the students play small-sided games. Coaching takes place at state-of-the-art facilities, from fitness suites to indoor 3G dome football pitches. In the 2017-18 school year we will benefit from a brand new full-size 4G pitch.

Come along to our open day on Tuesday 28 March from 5pm to 7.30pm, to look round the school and meet the team. You can also find out more about trials, which will take place on Wednesday 12 April and Wednesday 31st May at from 12 – 2.30pm. Contact kalexis@oufc.co.uk for full details
