Great chances for girls to get involved with the U's
Oxford United are proud to be involved in Girls’ Football Week
Ruth Senior, Oxford United’s Female Development and Women’s General Manager, explains the club’s involvement and how you can get involved.
“The aim is to increase female participation in football. Throughout the week, Oxford United in the Community’s female development department will be running sessions at Faringdon Community College, Watlington FC (over-30s session), The Oxford Academy, Matthew Arnold and Bartholomew’s School.
“We are also launching two sessions in partnership with Oxford Brookes. Female students will have the opportunity to have a go at football on Wednesday at Harcourt Hall, from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. On Thursday at the Headington campus (2-3pm) female students will be able to try a new Soccercise session.
“Soccercise is a mix of aerobic, strength and football activities, in an instructor-led session.
“Players from our Women’s Super League team will also be involved in sessions throughout the week. “
Oxford United Women also invite you to take part in our ‘around the world’ challenge #OUWFCATW for Girls’ Football Week. The challenge consists of three skill levels. If you want to see if you’re as good as our WSL players take the challenge:
