Kemar wins L2 Player of the Season and the U's win Family Club award
Kemar Roofe was the star as he won two awards at the Football League Awards tonight, while Oxford United were voted as League 2 Family Club of the Year.Kemar was named League 2 Player of the Year and included in the Football League Team of the Season at the ceremony in Manchester. He was also shortlisted for the Goal of the Season.
He said:
“I am very proud to be acknowledged and would like to thank everyone at Oxford United who has helped me achieve this. It is good to receive an award but it has been a good season for everyone at the club and now we want to push on and try and finish the season with promotion.”
The U’s were also voted as L2 Family Club of the Year, Chairman Darryl Eales said:
“It’s an award that means a great deal to the club, and a reward for all the hard work that everyone has put in.
“We pride ourselves on creating a brilliant atmosphere for all the family to come and enjoy, and it is fantastic to win recognition for the progress that we have made, and will continue to make.”
