Hylts available again after suspension
United welcome Danny Hylton back into their squad as they travel to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday. The U’s’ top scorer has sat out the last two games through suspension but is available again and feels that a couple of games off may just have recharged his batteries for some very important games ahead, starting against the Shrews.
“It has been frustrating and I can’t wait to get back out there if selected” he told Yellow Player. “I don’t want to miss any games but you take the positives out of everything and I’ve had a little rest which I probably needed and hopefully I can go back in to the squad and be a bit fresher than I was.”
Danny has been a spectator for the two home games against Plymouth and Hartlepool this week but is hoping to play a part at Greenhous Meadow
“I thought it was a good point against Plymouth but obviously not so good on Tuesday but we can show a positive reaction after that. Nobody is saying it will be easy at Shrewsbury. I know it’s a cliché but there are no easy games whether you are trying to get in the play-offs or fighting for your lives. There’s not many teams with nothing to play for so they are all going to be tough at this stage of the season.
“We know our situation and if you look at the results on Tuesday night you can see that the teams just below and around us nearly all won because everyone realises the situation they are in and is trying to sort it out pretty quickly. We know we have the players to pull away from trouble but it’s no good keep saying it, we know that it is up to us to start showing it on a more consistent basis.”
