Hoskins Marks Comeback With a Goal

Hoskins on the mark as Campbell bags a brace at Barnet

Will Hoskins made a successful return from injury today, marking his comeback with a goal in a 4-0 win for the Development Side in a friendly at Barnet.

Hoskins played 65 minutes in his first appearance since picking up a groin injury at Southend in September and finished neatly from a Josh Ashby through ball to score the third goal in a convincing win.

United’s attacking options were further underlined by another two goals from John Campbell, the first from the penalty spot after Callum O’Dowda was brought down and his second after running on to a Sam Long pass to finish well in a one on one with the keeper to complete the scoring. Long had earlier made it 3-0 with a header from a corner.

Micky Lewis told us:

“We have put together some very impressive performances at this level this season and this was another really good result.

“Will played just past the hour as planned and looked sharp and John Campbell scored another two goals which is great. Josh Ashby was excellent in midfield, Sam Long was really good again but the attitude was spot on from everyone and it was very encouraging all round.”
