We look ahead to Oxford United's trip to Morecambe in Sky Bet league 2
We look ahead to Oxford United's Sky Bet League 2 game at Morecambe tomorrow.
TEAM NEWS
United will be without the suspended Tom Newey after he picked up his tenth yellow card of the season. David Lynn looks likely to step in although Josh Ruffels has also played that role in the past.
Michael Raynes, Jake Wright, Jon Meades and Andy Whing are still ruled out but Sean Rigg could return to the bench, joining Alfie Potter and Ryan Williams who have both come back into the squad for the last two games.
See Mickey Lewis previewing the game and talking about the selection options in Yellow Player where we also have a great 15 minute Preview Show featuring David Hunt, James Constable and an injury update from Physio Andy Lord.
THE OPPOSITION
Morecambe Boss Jim Bentley is hoping his side can end their eight game sequence without a win
“Oxford are one of the top sides" he said. "Is it a good time to play them? Maybe, because they’ve just lost for the first time away from home. They’ve got one or two injuries and they probably won’t fancy coming up to Morecambe.
“We’ve got to make sure we take the positives we’ve shown in the last few weeks. We’re back at home after two away trips in front of our fans and hopefully they can get right behind us and we can give it a right good go.”
Morecambe hope to have Shaun Beeley available after injury while Alex Kenyon back in the squad after a three-match ban. Jamie Devitt is suspended after his red card at Exeter on Tuesday.
