U's visit Abingdon Daytime Support

Community Reach

Oxford United recently paid a visit to our friends at Abingdon Daytime Support and the reception for Olly the Ox went down a treat! This falls on the back of several organized visits where members of Abingdon Daytime Support attended a recent match and took part in a special behind the scenes tour of the stadium. This is to help build interest for another upcoming match visit and to further promote Oxford's presence in the community.

Oxford United player John-Paul Pittman, Commercial Manager Owen Clark and Group Ticket Sales Executive James Peterson attended the meeting where they took part in a Q&A with the members and were treated to a tour of the facility. Olly the Ox came out to sign a few autographs and take pictures with some of the fans.

James Peterson had this to say about the special visit, "It was a real honour to visit the support centre. When Olly the Ox walked in he was greeted with a huge cheer and all the people's faces lit up! All the volunteers and workers down there are a real credit  and everyone we met was amazing, especially since they all support Oxford!"
