Full preview as United take on Plymouth Argyle in the FA Youth Cup Second Round
United's Under 18s go into the second round of the FA Youth Cup tonight with Manager Chris Allen urging them to keep their feet on the ground. United's Youth team have won ten games in a row, an amazing run of results, but tonight they come up against the last team to have beaten them, Plymouth Argyle. United lost 3-0 to Plymouth back in August before embarking on their winning streak, and Chris told us:
"It doesn't matter what we have been doing recently. This is the FA Cup and form, league positions, and reputations all go out of the window. Plymouth were very good against us earlier in the season so we expect a very hard game tonight.
"There is a bit of a buzz around this competition and it's a game we are all looking forward to. Hopefully there will be a decent crowd and the lads rise to the occasion once again."
United's exciting side has been among the goals recently. Top scorer James Roberts has scored 14 times in his last six games, with Callum O'Dowda bagging a hat-trick on Saturday as well.
The game will be played at Didcot Town's Loop Meadow Stadium, with original venue Thame waterlogged. Kick off is at 7.30pm and admission is £5 adults, £3 concessions.
The winners will take on Barnsley at home in the Third Round.
