Mickey Lewis looks forward to tonight's game against Dagenham

United go into tonight’s home game against Dagenham and Redbridge with almost a new situation this season: serious competition for places. Tom Craddock, Johnny Mullins and Jake Forster-Caskey all come back into the squad after Saturday’s excellent win at Barnet and first team coach Mickey Lewis admitted that there are some hard decisions to make in terms of who starts tonight.

“Everyone is fit and available for selection. It’s a great situation to be in and something we haven’t had all year” Mickey told Yellow Player. “We have players who missed Saturday and who have done really well, and then you have the lads who were in the team on Saturday who did really well as well. So it’s definitely a dilemma.”

After back to back away wins Mickey is pleased to have two big home games this week:

“It’s a really big game. We had a great result on Saturday but as clichéd as it sounds the next game is always the important one. We haven’t had a home league game for a while now so it will be good to get back to the Kassam and be in front of our own supporters.”

However, Mickey and the squad will go into the game with a healthy respect for the visitors.

“Dagenham are a good side with some good players and I think John Still is a really good manager. He has been around for a very long time and his teams are always very competitive and very organised. Anyone thinking they turn up and it’s an easy game is going to be in for a shock because we are in for a tough game tonight.”
