Oxford United U18s have the chance to progress to the next round of the Youth Alliance Cup as they take on Walsall tomorrow for a midday kick off.

The young U’s will be high on confidence after another impressive three points away from home this past weekend. The win takes them to just four points off top of the table with two games in hand and continues their already impressive run, losing just one of their last eight league games.

The win at Exeter on Saturday was a true show of the squad's character, coming back from 1-0 down and scoring three in 11 minutes to completely turn the game on its head. It was also a game of milestones, with Jack Lee breaking double digits in competitive fixtures this season and Leo Snowden getting his 15th and 16th of the season.

Tomorrow's game is a must-win for the Yellows, with a win by a margin of two or more confirming their spot in the next round of the Youth Alliance Cup.

The hosts, Walsall, come into this one looking to turn things around after a poor first half of the season. The Saddlers have won just one in their last eight and will be hoping for a turn of fortune to start the new year.

Unfortunately for them, tomorrow's fixture is a dead rubber after losing all three group stage games up to now.
