Oxford United welcome Premier League side Southampton for the U's latest pre-season fixture on Wednesday 31st July (7.30pm).
With just two more games to go before the Championship season starts on 10th August, the preparations are starting to ramp up and Southampton, who won promotion from the Championship last season, are ideal opponents.
Unbeaten so far in their own pre-season campaign, with wins at Eastleigh and against French sides Girondins de Bordeaux and Montpellier HSC, the Saints will be hoping to maintain their momentum in Oxford's first game at the Kassam Stadium since beating Peterborough United in the League One Play-Off semi-finals at the start of May.
TEAM NEWS
In the games so far, Des Buckingham has taken a look at most of the United squad but will be hoping to try different combinations and personnel. Polish winger Przemyslaw Placheta will be hoping for his first minutes since joining the club, while Idris El Mizouni could get more minutes after playing the first 45 against Mansfield on Saturday.
Owen Dale, who picked up a knock in training last week, is unlikely to feature.
THE OPPOSITION
Saints manager Russell Martin has revealed that he will be bringing two squads for the game, with the possibility of mass changes at half-time, as he looks to fine-tune the Southampton starting XI for when their Premier League campaign kicks off at Newcastle United on 17th August.
Southampton may include new Chilean signing Ben Brereton Diaz, the former Blackburn forward putting pen to paper on a four-year deal after signing from Villareal.
