Oxford United Women are pleased to announce that Jo Kalies has been appointed as Head Coach of the Development Squad.
Jo will take charge of the side, that have gone 36 League games unbeaten and sit top of their division, to ensure that the pathway to the First Team is clear and that the successful talent continues to grow.
“I’m really enjoying the start of what I've come in to, it’s a really professional set up and the players have been fantastic, so I'm really excited" she said.
“There is some real talent coming through the age groups. In my interview I got to meet some of the younger players as well and just see the standard, which is very high and the pathway is there to see.
“They've been on an incredible run so my role is to come in and obviously continue that, but also look at their development and we want to look at the areas that we do need to work on and strive to just be better as a whole".
General Manager Gemma Sims said
“We’re really pleased to have Jo on board with us. She brings lots of great experience developing young players and we believe she’ll really help to keep building and improving our pathway.
