Oxford United can confirm that Kyle Edwards will miss the remainder of the 2023/24 season through injury.
Permanently signing for the U's in January as he was rehabilitating from a hamstring injury, it was hoped that Edwards would be available for the final month of the season.
Unfortunately, the end of the campaign will now come too soon for the forward as he continues to fight his way back onto the pitch.
The former England U20 international initially signed for United at the start of the 2023/24 season on loan from Ipswich Town, before making the move permanent in January.
Edwards has made six appearances for the U’s, scoring twice, and last featuring in a 0-0 draw against Bolton Wanderers in November.
The Club will continue to look after and support Edwards through his rehabilitation.
We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the pitch in the near future.
