Oxford United goalkeeper James Beadle has been selected for the England men’s under-21 squad for their UEFA U21 EURO Qualifier in Luxembourg.
James, on loan to the U’s from Brighton and Hove Albion, steps up from the Men’s U20 squad for the first time having previously played in the FIFA U20 World Cup this summer
James becomes the fourth Oxford player to be called up for international duty after Ciaron Brown (Northern Ireland), Fin Stevens (Wales U21) and Tyler Goodrham (Republic of Ireland U21), with the away game at Lincoln City scheduled for September 9th postponed as a result.
