Oxford United Women travel to Cheltenham Town Ladies for a midweek fixture under the lights tonight, Thursday 12th October.
Kick off is at 7:45PM at Kayte Lane, GL52 3PD. Tickets cost £6 for Adults and £3 for Concessions.
The U’s go into the game off the back of a superb performance and victory over high flyers Ipswich Town Women and will look to build momentum against a Cheltenham side that haven’t lost at home this season.
Cheltenham sit seventh in the division, three points and two places behind Oxford. Last season the U’s lost for the first time in the campaign away at Cheltenham and will be looking to put that disappointing result right tonight.
Interim Managaer Shaun Green will continue to take charge of the side as the club continues it’s search for a full time manager.
Midfielder Taome Oliver told us
“Every team in this league brings a different challenge; it’s such an unpredictable league. It just means that for every game you have to be on top form, you have to expect the unexpected and all you can do is go in with a positive attitude.
“We’ve had a good training week and we’re ready to put our all in and we trust that we'll come out on top if we have the right attitude. It should be a tough one, but a game under the lights, we all enjoy it.
“If we can take that performance from Sunday and embed it into the Cheltenham game, then I'm pretty confident as a group that we could come out on top.
“We all really enjoyed that performance and I think you could tell from the attitude even in the warm up beforehand, everyone was on point for the game and having that boost was exactly what we needed.
“The morale is really good. The message is to keep on the same run, don't get ahead of ourselves, stay humble, work hard and hopefully we'll come out with another three points and keep on climbing up the table."
