Oxford United welcome Swansea City to the Kassam Stadium this evening and the teams will be welcomed on to the pitch by our Guard of Honour: Fairford Youth Tornadoes U11.
Fairford Youth Football Club is an FA Standard Chartered Club, formed in 1976.
Based in Fairford, Gloucestershire, the club provides football for almost 300 children from the local area from the age of 5 all the way through to Under 18, playing in the North Wilts Youth Football League.
The club is represented tonight by the U11 Tornadoes, a mixed team of boys and girls. Like the club, the Tornadoes have a strong ethic of fair play and inclusivity. This season they will progress to 9-a-side football, playing with offsides for the first time.
The team is managed by Sarah Sloman, and assisted by her husband, Adam. A wonderful bunch of kids, they play football with the right attitude, with a focus on having fun and enjoying the game. They are fantastic ambassadors for their club and for grassroots football.
