There’s a change of captaincy today as Oxford United welcome Bristol Rovers to the Kassam Stadium.
Head Coach Karl Robinson explains:
“John Mousinho leaving meant we were without a club captain so we talked through the responsibilities and the whole captaincy situation.
"Elliott Moore has done a fantastic job and will still be a great role model but he has had one or two family things to deal with and felt he wanted to step back a little and just concentrate on his football.
“So Sam Long and Cameron Brannagan will share the duties and be joint captains. They are both leaders and have different qualities so that will work well.
"Cameron will wear the armband today, Longy in other games. Whoever is captain on the day, it's time for all of the players to have a voice and do all they can to help us win games, starting today.”
