Oxford United head for Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night as the Bristol Street Motors Trophy reaches the knock-out stages.
“The approach will be the same as every competition we play in,“ Head Coach Des Buckingham told iFollow.
“We want to progress as far as we can and today we did as much as we could to prepare for it. Now we must make sure again that we put out the best team to get the performance and then the result because of that.
“We have had a lot of games recently and it’s a busy period coming up, so we need to utilise the squad as best we can. There are players I haven’t seen in action yet and we may take that opportunity on Tuesday, but we also want to build momentum and get through to the next round.
"We basically have games twice a week for the next six weeks now, so we have to get the balance right when we choose a side for Tuesday.
"Joe Bennett will be involved and has trained well for two weeks, so he will be one of those hoping for a chance but it will be a tough game. Forest Green will be hoping to get through just as much as us, so it should be another really good cup tie.”
