Oxford United's highly promising defender James Golding has been called up for the Republic of Ireland under 19 squad.
James, who underlined his potential with a full league debut for the U's at the end of last season, has been called up for the Republic of Ireland U19 double header against Iceland taking place in Spain this week.
It follows on from being offered his first professional contract after a string of excellent performances in the Under 18 side for the U's.
