Following the lifting of the Government’s Plan B regulations from Thursday 27th January, Oxford United can confirm that the additional Covid Protocols put in place for our last home game will no longer apply.
The recent visit of Sheffield Wednesday saw an attendance over the threshold of 10,000 spectators, meaning all supporters in attendance aged 18 and over were required to show a vaccine passport or negative lateral flow test at the point of entry.
Despite a similarly large crowd expected for the visit of Portsmouth this Saturday (5th February, 3pm) the club can confirm this certification is no longer required.
Despite these restrictions no longer being enforced by law, the club would like to continue to encourage supporters to remain vigilant at U’s matchdays and continue to observe the following key behaviours:
- HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds.
- FACE – We strongly advise that you wear a face covering when on the concourse or in inside areas, and whilst moving around the Kassam Stadium.
- SPACE – Try to stay two metres apart from people you do not live with, where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place e.g. wearing face coverings.
In addition to this, under no circumstances should you attend a game if you are isolating due to a recent positive Covid test or have any of the following symptoms – a high temperature, a new or continuous cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
