Oxford United’s Under 21 side get a chance to test themselves against top-flight opposition today when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Oxford Sports Park.
The U’s have had a disrupted season at this level with a long lay-off before they finally concluded their Central League Cup fixtures at Southend last week, the first of five scheduled games between now and the end of the season.
Midfielder Fabio Lopes and forward Jack Stevens are hoping to be fit after missing last week’s game through injury while Dylan Asonganyi will be looking to add to his goal in that game.
Slavi Spasov and Kyran Lofthouse are still on loan at Woking and Leon Chambers-Parillon is again on First Team duty ahead of tonight’s game at home to Doncaster Rovers but Kie Plumley, Nico Jones, Yoav Sade and Michael Elechi will all be involved.
Second year scholars Sam Johnson, Callum Crook, Tyler Goodrham and Jack Gardner are also likely to feature.
The game is behind closed doors but we will have pictures and a report right here on the final whistle for you later today.
