Five More Signings For OUFC Women

Oxford United Women has added to their squad with five more new faces ahead of the new season in the National League

Amber Roberts, Georgia Timms, Immy Lancaster Laura Hennessey and Bobby Lynch have all signed up for the new season and Manager Liam Gilbert told us

“Things are going very well and I think the signs are very encouraging for the new season. It’s going to be completely different in the new league but we have the core of the side that did well in WSL2 and a number of very talented youngsters coming through so we can’t wait to get started now.”

We asked Liam to talk us through the new signings:

Amber Roberts
Amber is a talented player who has a lot of potential. She is a dynamic player who is good in one vs one situations but can also drive effectively with the ball.

Georgia Timms
Georgia is a player I am looking forward to working with again. She has a brilliant attitude and always wants to do what is best for the team. Georgia is able to play in a number of ways and will hopefully continue to build on her performances from the end of last season.

Immy Lancaster
Immy is a player that I think has a bright future in the game. She had a fantastic end to last season that saw her gain a call up to a Welsh training camp. I am hoping there are more of these to come for Immy. She will be an important player for us this season.

Laura Hennessey
Laura has been a positive addition to the squad. She is an elusive player and I am looking forward to seeing what she is capable of achieving this season.

Bobby Lynch
Bobby will add leadership to our defensive line. She is a great addition to the squad and I am really happy with what I have seen from her so far.
