Oxford United's under-18s entertain local rivals Swindon in the South-West Youth Alliance tomorrow morning at Abingdon United's Northcourt Road (11am kick-off).
United currently sit in fifth place in the division, following their 1-1 draw against second-placed AFC Bournemouth last Tuesday. Opponents Swindon are third, four points ahead of the U's.
Even at youth level, local derbies are eagerly anticipated affairs as homegrown youngsters have local pride to fight for. The equivalent game in Swindon finished 3-3, so there is likely to be an exciting and entertaining contest on offer.
Admission to the youth team games is free and the facilities at the Northcourt are excellent, so if you're unable to follow the first team to Walsall why not check out the youngsters who could be part of United's future.
