Oxford United are delighted to announce that midfielder Josh Ruffels has signed a new long-term contract with the U’s.
Josh, who turns 24 on Monday, played his 100th game for the club recently after joining from Coventry City back in 2013. He has agreed a new contract that keeps him at Oxford until the end of the 2019/20 season, with a further one year option available.
He told us:
“I’m really pleased to have sorted everything out. I have had a fantastic time ever since I signed with promotion, two games at Wembley and so many other great occasions as well. It’s my home town club, everyone here is very progressive and ambitious and I am enjoying my football so it was an easy decision to sign.”
Manager Pep Clotet added:
“Josh is an excellent player and a fantastic pro. He has a lot of experience for someone who is still only 23 and we are delighted that he sees his future as being part of what we hope to build here.”
