United's under 18 side continued their encouraging pre-season with a 2-0 win at Fairford on Saturday.
After a 0-0 draw with Swansea in the week the U's made the trip to Fairford in good heart and won a competitive game 2-0 through goals from Dan Carr and Kyran Lofthouse.
Leon Blackmore Such told us:
"First of all our thanks to Fairford for their hospitality and for a really good game that will benefit both sides. We wanted a game against a senior men's side, one which would be physical and competitive and we were delighted with the way our lads stood up to that test and competed.
"We had lots of possession and the movement was good all over the park, but we also defended well and everyone got time on the pitch including a couple of under 16s which is great at this stage.
"Dan and Kyran took their chances well and we might have been a bit more clinical with a couple of other opportunities, but overall it was a good afternoon's work."
