WSL 2 action this Sunday at Northcourt Road
Oxford United Women return to league action this Sunday when they welcome Durham to Northcourt Road in WSL2.United’s young team have lost their first two games but there were plenty of encouraig signs in their last outing at Aston Villa and Manager Les Taylor told us
“ I thought we played some really good stuff. We were in front and we then hit the bar twice as we dominated long periods of the game. Unfortunately a long range effort and a penalty were our undoing and we ended up losing for a second time.
“That was a bit harsh but I felt that the performance in both games was OK and we have looked like a side who are going to improve as the games go on.
“There are a number of new faces and young players in the squad and we know that they are going to gel as a team the more they play together. Losing matches always hurts but there have been enough encouraging signs in those first two games to suggest that better results are going to follow, hopefully starting on Sunday.”
Come and join us for a great afternoon for football at Abingdon United’s Northcourt Road. Kick-off is at noon on Sunday and admission is just £5 for adults or £10 for a Family Ticket (2 Adults & 2 Under 16s)
