U's sign West Brom attacking midfielder
Oxford United have completed the signing of Kemar Roofe on an initial one month loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Roofe, 22, is an attacking midfielder who has been at the Hawthorns since signing as a schoolboy and has had loan spells at Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Colchester United to give him first team experience. Highly rated at West Brom, Kemar can play on either wing or up front.
United Head Coach Michael Appleton said:
“Kemar is someone who has been on a lot of club’s radar for a while because he likes to get on the ball and make things happen up front. I worked with him during my time at West Brom and he has a great attitude as well as being a really good player.”
Kemar goes straight into the United squad for the trip to Burton Albion on Saturday, joining fellow loan signing George Baldock in the squad for the first time.
