Oxford United Women take on Doncaster Belles in WSL 2
Oxford United Women face a big game of their own on Saturday as they visit the Doncaster Rovers Belles in WSL2.
Les Taylor’s side were better than a 3-0 scoreline suggested in their season opener against London Bees on Monday night and they welcome back skipper Sahara Osbourne-Ricketts on Saturday after suspension.
The centre-half returns to a squad that Taylor says will travel to Doncaster in good spirits:
“Sahara has been a big part of the side for the last couple of years and it is good to have her available again. Tash Caswell is still suspended and she will be back for the following game but whoever plays the whole squad is still pretty upbeat despite losing that first game.
“We created loads of chances on Monday and they all gave it everything they had so we will go up to Doncaster and look to be positive.”
It is a big occasion once again for the Women’s side who will play at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium, with the game kicking off at 6.30pm
