United On The Up

Season Tickets rise as United prepare for the new season

Oxford United fans have once again backed the club in great numbers for the coming season.

'United We Stand' has been the message as the U's look forward to 2013/14 and supporters have responded with more season tickets sold in the first discounted period than at this stage last season.

Around  3,200 season tickets were sold before yesterday's first deadline, and with great savings on the second discounted price now available sales are on course to top the 4,000 that were sold by the end of last season.

Christine Greenough, Ticket Office Supervisor, explained:

"It is very encouraging. At the end of the discount period last season we had sold 3,082 tickets but this time we are approaching 3,200.

. “We conducted a lot of research before developing the new packages and have implemented or are working on implementing many of the findings ahead of the new season. On the back of this work our season tickets and many of the new benefits have been really well received

"The last few days have been busy as ever and although that first discount period for renewals has now ended the Early Bird Period runs until 19th July and is always very popular with it offering some fantastic savings."

New initiatives such as the Partner Club scheme, Refer a Friend and a cheaper price bracket for 16 and 17 year olds have all proved very popular while the draw will be made later today for the 555 Draw which will see five Season Ticket holders winning great prizes.

Early Bird prices, available now, start from £281 for adults or just £138 for under 16s, with Under 11s £40 in the Family area and Under 7s FREE.
