Online e-zine goes well
For the first time ever we offered supporters the chance to download the Matchday Magazine after Saturday's home game against Bradford City.
Our award winning match programme is packed full with news, interviews and thought-provoking articles, and as a one-off experiment we made it available in a free ‘e-zine version’.
Around 400 people downloaded the electronic version and Communications Manager Chris Williams writes:
"We wanted to gauge interest and 400 downloads is very encouraging. Many of those people have taken the time to email us with their feedback so we can start to build a fuller picture of whether there is a demand for this in the future. It was interesting, for example, to see how many 'Exiles' downloaded, or how many viewed it on mobile devices.
"The next stage is to see if people liked what they saw and buy a programme at the next game, where we won't be offering the download. And then at some stage we will see whether people are willing to pay for the download as well."
