It was a goal scoring return to the starting XI for Cameron Brannagan on a frustrating evening in a 1-1 draw with Stevenage.
In the final regular season home game of the campaign, the captain on the night equalised from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw.
The night didn't bring the three points the team were looking for in their push for the play-offs, with now one game remaining next weekend away to Exeter City.
Brannagan reflected on the evening's work and said it's still all to play for, with the U's still firmly in the hunt for that final spot.
He said: "It's frustrating because you can't have that many chances and not win the game.
"We had chance after chance and we weren't clinical enough and that's what has cost us.
"We're still in it and we have got to do our job next Saturday.
"We need to be more clinical in front of goal because we've dominated the game and we should win it.
"The atmosphere was bouncing and got us going."
